Work and Education History on People Profiles
Work and education history has been added to many people profiles. We are continuing to expand this to more profiles.
Richer Background Context on Politicians and Staffers
People profiles in Page now display work history and education background for politicians and staffers. This addition gives government relations professionals deeper context on the public officials they're engaging with — directly within the profiles they already use for outreach and research.
What's New
- Work history — previous roles, positions, and professional experience before entering public service
- Education background — degrees, institutions, and academic credentials
- Integrated into existing profiles — no new navigation required, the information appears right where you'd expect it
Why It Matters for Government Relations
Understanding a legislator's professional background and education can be the difference between a generic outreach and a meaningful connection. A senator who previously worked in healthcare administration will approach health policy differently than one who came from finance. A staffer with a law degree from a particular school may have connections or perspectives worth knowing about.
With work and education history now surfaced directly in Page's people profiles, GR teams can:
- Personalize outreach by referencing shared professional backgrounds or alma maters
- Anticipate policy perspectives based on a legislator's career before public office
- Identify potential champions whose professional experience aligns with your policy area
- Prepare more effectively for meetings with fuller context on who you're sitting across from
We're continuing to expand the coverage of work and education data across more profiles. If you notice gaps for officials you track, that coverage is actively being built out.
